The wife is forcing me to take a short vacation just so I can get away from life for a couple days. What/where should I go? I have from 0800 next Tuesday till 0800 Thursday.

Depends on if you get a "Hall Pass".

That depends on if someone gave permission to use his face/likeness in a show, i.e. signed a release to appear in the show. Other times, it's used to hide someone who asked not to be identified in a show. Also, it can be used to blur out someone who is wearing a trademark brand or something that might be offensive like a hat with marijuana leaves.

but when they film on the streets? Do they ask every single person for allowance?

Not sure about that part. If they are just filming on a regular public street with people walking around, probably not, but if they are filming with a group of people in the public but they are facing the camera and being involved more than just walking by, then maybe they need to sign a release.

just looks weird when you have a lot of people walking by, some blurred out, some not.

.. maybe its because it was filmed in LA. They probably just blurred the old, fat and ugly people out

That would take a lot of blurring. Contrary to the popular image, most people in LA are just as fat and ugly as any other city. Even in supposedly beautiful cities like Beverly Hills and the beach cities, most people are just people and not supermodels.

Good news, CJ!

So my fiance cleaned out her closet yesterday and found somethings she thought I might want. Brass nuckles and a Choate "ice scraper"...

thats not true, I saw not even nearly as many fat people as in Vienna. I expected two things for my trip. A mixture of white and black people, a lot of fat americans. What I saw was nearly no black people and no fat trolley riding americans.

I was disappointed.

Did I mention the asians? Never expected those.

You kidding me... you mean you didn't see the black and white people on your downtown LA excursions?

I saw them during our LA gang tour, but in SJ or all the way to LA, even at the airport - nearly none. Not what I expected. Even most trips we had in LA, only asians lol.
Expected a way better mixture all around the US, maybe except the South.

btw with a little luck, I might visit Sj again this year. If it works out, I plan on visiting you again. My gf might join me, but nothing fixed yet.

This time we need a designated driver and then we really get drunk.

Next time I take you to da hood for some soul food then. Where we went for Krispy Kreme's was da hood but it was late at night and you didn't see anyone there. LA is like that with very closed off ethnic enclaves in every city. You don't see the mixture like you would expect in most cities.

West LA is mainly Jewish/White
Glendale is mainly Armenian/Middle Eastern
San Gabriel Valley is mainly Asian
South Central LA is mainly black
East LA/East San Gabriel Valley is mainly Hispanic
San Fernando Valley is mainly White
Orange County has its own enclaves with various Southeast Asians, Hispanics, and Whites in their own cities

My buddy hooked me up. There are professional driver services here now that just drive you around so you don't have to worry about drinking driving. Better than a taxi because we really don't have taxi service in this part of LA.

Forget the limo. This is way better for driving around inconspicuously.
