P226R DAK, factory refurb. I think I'm going to sell it and use the money to get an AK-74 instead.

Sounds like a good deal as long as you've got another CCW!

If you buy an AK, spend the $$$ to get a good one. Most of the guys I know that have AK's bought the cheapest ones they can find and are barely capable of "minute of pie plate accuracy".

I do; I have my Glock 23 that's been my mainstay half of forever, it seems like.

I went to the more expensive local gun shop, and found a Czech VZ 58 that I really like. They want almost $900 for it, but I've found it on Gunbroker for less than $600. I think that may be what I end up doing.

After a super rainy Monday, a windy and cold Tuesday, a super windy and warm Wednesday, hot as heck Thursday (85F), chilly Friday, cold Saturday... and a hot Sunday (wore a short sleeve tee and shorts and was still sweating)... I think my chances of recovering soon from this cold is next to nil.

On a night off try this remedy I have come across:

Get a four poster bed.
Get ready to turn in for the night, but have a hat hand that you can hang on a bed post.
Get a bottle of whiskey, and a shot glass.
Take a shot, and move the hat from one bed post to the other at the head of the bed, with each additional shot of whiskey.
Once you pass out remedy is over with.

Have hangover remedy handy for the next morning.

Sounds like something I would have done in college even when I was feeling fine!

It came out of a home remedy book that we have around the house somewhere. It was sort of meant as a joke. But, I had to wonder concerning how many may have tried it.

Sometimes whiskey helps me when I am sick, usually a couple of servings of red wine will do the trick, along with a antihistamine, and decongestant, with a little additional pain reliever.

dropping in to say hello. I've been dealing with some cardiovascular issues, along with life as we know it. So far they have ruled out heart attack and stroke, but now on to some more serious testing to see if there is some underlying cause of all my blood pressure regulation problems.

Holy crap, man! I had no idea things were that serious with you! Definitely glad it wasn't one of those, though.
