Well, in other news I have been approved for an insulin pump finally. However, in being approved they have reclassed me as Type 1. I don't get it. The older system of diagnosis isn't supposed to be used any longer.

Yeah, it's good. But there are questions. Why did they go with a diagnosis of Type 1, when all paper work that has been submitted indicates Type 2? Why do they routinely approve for Type 1, and not for Type 2, as to seems to have been indicated by this last approval letter? So, I rendered my concerns about the mistake in diagnosis information back to my current Medtronics Representative who is dealing with this stuff. Of course, now things are being looked into by anyone concerned with this, so as of right now, I am not officially approved for the insulin pump again. ARRRGGHH! This is frustrating, and I am about ready to contact the American Diabetes Association to let them know about this, to see if they see it as I do. Favouring of Type 1 diabetics for insulin pump therapy over those who are Type 2, for starters. The ones who take care of health benefits within OPM may also be apprised of this as well, if they are not already. This whole process is frustrating.

we all have medical issues in this forum!
I have been sent for more blood work because of some liver enzymes been out of count again. Good news is the doc thinks if he can fix the enzyme count, my blood pressure should level out.

Yeah, we had 3 days in the 70-80 range and today, it was 50 with winds so high that it felt like I was walking up a steep hill when I was going between buildings. If people don't get sick, I would be very surprised.
