exo glocks collectible?

Just wondering if you guys think these will be a collectible glock. I have a 17 but am a little. Afraid of scratching it up or getting any holster wear on it

I heard of a guy buying two.
One pristine for the safe and one to shoot.
That, plus the hard time I had getting a EXO G27 with Ameriglo I-Dot Pro NS.
Had go go internet, Gunsamerica, and get one from a bait and tackle in South Dakota!
Got me thinking collectible too.
Talo makes limited edition runs of guns that sure do appear to be collectible.

So I emailed Fail Zero to get a count on 2011 EXO G27s with Ameriglo NS.
Fail Zero response, an estimated 400 units.
Don't know the numbers on non-NS and the various 9mm versions.
But 400 for mine sure sounds collectible to me.

I think guns, even nice ones, were meant to be shot.
So I'm shooting mine.
Not shooting the EXO would be like owning a Shelby and not driving it.

I just bought a new G26 EXO. The inside of the barrel had some flash coating on it, so I'm sending the barrel back to be re-coated. The gentleman on the phone told me that Talo made 5,000 Glocks with the EXO finish, only in 9mm and .40, in the full-size and sub-compact variety. I think he said production ended mid-2011.

Im sure you guys would love to own this NIB NICKEL-BORON FINISH G27. Im not sure I would want this over the black finish, a shiny glock just doesnt make sense or look right to me. But I sure love my first and only glock with gills. A G22 was my first and only gun ever bought, hopefully I will have the funds to expand my collection in a few months.

BTW, whats exo stand for? Are there any other acronyms I should know about?

Theres also a G17 and G23 nickel boron finish.

I bought my 27 Exo without knowing what it was. The guy I bought it from just thought it had a stainless slide, then when I take it home I found the Exo flyer in the paperwork. I must say I'm really glad I have one of the Exo Glocks, mine was test fired
On 4/29/11. But nevertheless I'm going to put about 100 rounds through it tomorrow.

I'm not sure how collectible it makes them but I'm sending my G33 in to get coated soon. I doubt it will add to the value, I like how it looks and its supposed to be very wear resistant.

Ask your local dealer to check for you. I saw a flyer the other day that listed several different models as being available.

Collecting

I agree with barth about collecting instead of shooting. I know that everyone has their own preference on never shooting a firearm or otherwise. My opinion though is that if you are keeping it a non shooter for just plain fun, that is wonderful! If you are doing it in hopes to gain a profit years later, bad idea. I would suggest you buy gold! My humble opinion!!! But keep shooting!!!
