Meet the Twins...

Ok so maybe they aren't Identical twins... But they are close.

Beretta 92FS, Born in Italy... 9mm. Wearing Hogue Rubber grip panels...

and New (to me) big brother 96FS, Born in the U.S.A. Still wearing the Beretta plastic grips...

Been shooting the 92FS almost exclusively these days. Took the G22 to the range and the love affair with the Glock was over. I Just like the trigger pull of the Beretta better, so started looking around for the 96FS, and all I could find were INOX. Nothing wrong with INOX, but I like the look of the Black finish better, and as this is going to be my home defense sidearm, I didnt want the bright finish.

Anyway, decided to make a trip to the indoor range today, and what do they have in the case??? A lightly used 96FS with the Brunton finish. My Lucky day. So after a 100rounds of WWB and 60rounds of 180grain Speer golddots, not an issue to be found, now to get some Hogue grips and a few extra mags.

Yea I give up some capacity, but gain (in my mind) a better trigger.

Happy as a bee, in a buttercup tonight.

Very nice guns. Congrats. Beretta makes a wonderful firearm.

That being said I am disappointed. When I read the thread title I was thinking you were.

1. A hottie
2. Busty & real
3. An exhibitionist

The grips on the 92 are Hogue Rubber grip Panels... they don't wrap around the frontstrap of the weapon.

Get a closer look here...

http://www.lapolicegear.com/hogue-93...a-92grips.html

They provide a nice grip without adding the bulk of the wrap around grips. I have a set coming for the 96 as well.

Nice. I see you're a fan of the Hogue grip panels as well.

Did they ever make them with the Beretta logo?

Yes, they make the fullsize ones with the Beretta logo. You can go to the Beretta USA website to order them. But they are 2x the price for the ones with the logo. Around $30.

I think I'll just stick to the ones I've got, don't need the logo that much. I can always put the stock grips back on for family pictures, and spend that money on Ammo and Mags...
