My 34 has a slight problem.

The fired cases are hard to extract. I have even gone as far as soaking the cyclinder in bore solvent for a couple of nights and wire brushed the chambers like crazy. The case come out easy for the first couple of times and then they start get hard to extract again. I am using CCI standard velocity ammo.

Any thoughts what I need to do?

Happens with other brands of ammo?

Yes, but I thought maybe the CCI was cleaner ammo and after the thorough cleaning it might work better. I am going to clean it again real good and try some bulk Federal next range trip.

If other ammo does it also, maybe a nice polish job on cylinder charge holes?

Not an uncommon problem with the 34's. Mine did the same thing no matter what ammo was used. I'd suggest a call to S&W.
