Another whacker sighting.

States really need to reconsider these actions and make impersonation of law enforcement such as this example a felony crime.

It is a felony in Colorado, thanks to Lacy's Law.

http://www.2hearts4lacy.org/page/page/3127081.htm

Quote:
Lacy's Law makes impersonating a law enforcement officer a class 6 felony
as well as a class 1 misdemeanor for the use of blue and/or red flashing lights on the front of a non-authorized vehicle. Both of these can carry jail time as well as a significant fine. The important part of the light law is that if a person is pulled over and those lights are on the car, the lights can be immediately seized. Flashing police lights were the TOOL used to pull Lacy over and trick her into believing she was with a legitimate officer. Prior to this law in Colorado, it was a misdemeanor to impersonate a police officer and it was a 15 dollar traffic fine to have police lights on a car.
Much thanks and a appreciation to Sheriff Jim Alderton and representives
Bob McKluskey and Steve Johnson for the passing of this bill.

A woman was pulled over Oct. 15 by an unmarked car with flashing lights on the dash. A man in street clothes got out of the car and told her she had been speeding. When asked, the man couldn't provide any identification. He allegedly told the woman his name was Christopher Kambouris, gave her a badge number and said he worked for DPS.

The woman wrote down the car's license plate number and left the scene. A records check revealed the car was registered to a 28-year-old named Christopher Kambouris.

Kudos to the woman for what she did.

Let's throw Christopher's ash in prison for a long number of years and house him in general population. And be sure to let it be known that he's in the Big House for being a police wannabe.

Heck, he is delta alpha, and would probably be treated as such.

Must be the moon phase.

We had one here in Memphis. Kid had a scam going as Shelby County deputy who called people to "verify" their stolen credit cards...
