Eagle named Challenger

Watch the Eagle<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FASCINATING AND WORTH YOUR FEW MINUTES TO VIEW....

CHECK OUT THE Bald Eagle video below .. .. ,.

'Challenger' is his name (in honor of the lost space shuttle crew) & is cared for by the non-profit American Eagle Foundation (AEF).

He's a 'human-socialized' bird accidentally raised by the people who rescued Him - after being blown from a wild Louisiana nest in a storm as a baby in the late 1980's. Declared 'non-releasable' by federal and state wildlife Authorities, he was trained by the AEF to perform educational free-flight demonstrations at high profile public events.

He's the first Bald Eagle in U.S. History that learned to free-fly into Stadiums, arenas and ballrooms during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner. The celebrity eagle has appeared at numerous major sporting events like the World Series, Pro-Bowl, All-Star game, BCS National Championship, Fiesta Bowl, Men's Final Four, etc.

This eagle named Challenger has also flown before 4 U.S. Presidents!

His life story is told in a children's storybook

Absolutely breath taking to watch. Makes you choke right up seeing one of these eagles take flight and take on the symbol of America.

Awesome video.

We see them down south from this time of year thru March-April, they are so mysjestic, last year one struck a powerline and got broken up pretty bad, we tried to have the authorities or animal control pick it up, don't remember if they came to the rescue or not!

God bless our Nation long may it prosper and remain strong!
Finally found the picture of the one which the neighbor found injured...
The 10 Ring

It was a sad day when I saw this one caged with a broke wing!

Hate seein that, but perhaps he will heal up and soar once again.

We get Golden eagles from time to time here, and of course many of them around 'one of my brothers' house, he has high up on the side of flag mountain, an 11,000 ft work of art in the Sangre De Christo range of Northren N.M.

Love eagles. What a thing to watch and never get tired of it....

Thanks for sharing amigo.
