Sig 1911s, Reviews Anyone?

Im gonna part with my P239 SAS for a 1911. I like the compact size (Commander slide on Officer frame) and sig offers the RCS and the C3. I like the RCS more because its got the melt treatment on it. I guess its competition is the Kimber Compact CDP. I like the look and feel of both, and the Kimber is a little more pricey. How do yall like your Sig 1911s and how are they stacking up against Kimbers and Springfields??

Sig 1911s are good quality. I don't care much for the styling.

I've had my RCS for about 3 years now. Every now and then I think about selling it but I always go right back to it. It is my off duty carry. Great gun.

I just recently purchased a sig 1911 stainless compact. its like the colt CCO. officers frame with commander slide, but unlike the C3 and the RCS, it has a traditional 1911 slide and both a stainless fram and slide. The checkering on the front strap and mainspring housing are a bit sharp, but that will wear down. Sights are novak low-mount tritium, and it has a traditional bushing recoil spring plug set up, no full length rod. I have a new favorite 1911...

i fired 200 rounds through it after cleaning it of the factory oil and not a single jam, misfire or ftf. just 200 flawless accurate rounds fired. I was pretty impressed, not a single problem. Havent seen that in an out of the box 1911 in a long time. Everyone I have seen in the past few years has issues for the first few hundred rounds until "broken in". this was good to go from the start.

I have a Sig GSR that is a wonderful tack driver. My friend and hid wife have his and hers C3's that they love. I wouldn't swap my Sig for any 1911 near the price range. I mostly love that it has an external extractor and no guide rod!!! Get one you will not regret it!
