Man Fired For Not Wearing "666" Sticker

http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local...ear-666/nFjht/

Terrible manager should be fired will have cost his company $$$ over a triviality.

He has the right to quit. Maybe God will find him another job.

Two idiots in this story. The one who believes that he will go to hell for wearing a sticker. And the one who could not give the first idiot a sticker with a different number.

Oh he should have worn it upside down.

Guess he would have gotten fired for that too.

There's some truth to that statement.

Company and/or employee might have missed a good marketing chance to show diplomacy, get some skimpy local news publicity, show a little humor, or some other creative solution.

666 Days

or

15,984 hours

or

1 year, 10 months, 1 day (or whatever the math)

or

...........

I suspect you would have a different opinion if you were required to wear an "I love Jesus" sticker as a condition of your employment. Or, perhaps, "Theists are Always Right".

Come to think of it, the employee should have just stopped the company streak. He takes off his socks and sticks his toe in the breakroom rat trap.

They will settle with him before it ever goes to court. Good for him. And good for the company. Better for the company if they'd used better sense.

I would suck it up and do it rather than whine to the media. But then, I am used to discrimination and don't feel I am owed anything.

Will God take care of him or is God putting him to the test like Job? If God is putting him to the test, he shouldn't whine.

Do you have proof he whined to the media? The media, amazingly finds out about stories from all kinds of sources. So I guess you think him being interviewed constitutes whining.

I'm not sure how your feeling you've been discriminated against has anything to do with his religious beliefs.

It sounds to me like his requests for the day off, personal day, vacation day were reasonable.

There was a video. Didn't you see it?

Would you hire an atheist? Would you vote for one for President? Would you be OK with a public school teacher expressing atheistic beliefs.

FYI, I don't discuss my religious belief on the job. I would be outnumbered an bullied around by people like you. I have no doubt people would try to get me fired.

Religious fanatics always feel their fanaticism is justified.

I hope he gets some money out of it and gets his job back.

Management made a bad call.

Is sanity a condition of employment at the factory?
That might be the real reason he was fired.

No, I didn't see the video, I was at work and not able to view it, when I wrote my comments.

I have no problem with your beliefs. Atheist, Agnostic, Christian, Buddhist, etc...; believe what you want as long as it makes you happy.

No, I wouldn't be OK with a teacher expressing atheistic beliefs, just like I wouldn't be OK with a teacher expressing religious beliefs. That is a personal belief and unless specifically asked, they should not be using their position as a soap box.

If you feel I'm bullying you because I believe in something you don't, then you sound like you have a persecution complex, and you need to seek professional help.

Your right about religious fanatics feeling their actions are justified, just like someone who doesn't believe feels their actions are justified. That's the pot calling the kettle black.

You attacked me, I defended myself, and you say I have a persecution complex. You need to look the up in the DSM IV.I believe you're mistaken.
