MBR loadout
My current thinking is 60 rounds/3 mags is fine for just about everything.
Its light enough to move fast, enough 308 to defend against any threat i am likeley to face, and is easy to have multiple rigs for.
Stir some life up in here!

I used to too, 5 mags, and a refill. I have a 4 mag bandoleer i made, but i expect 60 rounds, or for that matter the 20 in the gun, will take care of buisiness if i maintain fire discipline.

I agree. That's a lot more realistic than most. I don't understand why so many civilians get wrapped up in needing 6 or more mags in any rifle.

I own more, just don't think i need to carry them all at once.
The high mag count factor is carried over from the military/AR15 world- lighter caliber, and you need more rounds to do the job a 308 does with 1 or 2.
Plus, there is the marksmanship thing.

I carry 4 20rd mags on my vest, plus the fully loaded rifle. That makes 101 rounds of .308 on tap. That's a lot of stored damage/kills.
