I work in manufacturing and the lack of communication can be one of the biggest things that get people hurt. When the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing, it can be disastrous. Everybody needs to be on the same page. Especially for safety reasons.
Where I work, I always write things down on a white board for the guy on the next shift, so that he will know what is going on. I try to keep people in the loop.
My coworkers refer to this as my love notes. Sometimes they get mad at me for it and they tell me I am trying to tell them what to do. This has made me realize how small minded they really are.

I love the word "loophole"... This isn't a "loophole".. as said above, this is a communication issue.
I personally don't see a huge issue with what the Sheriff is trying to do.

If anyone is interested, here's the NYT article to which the Sheriff is responding:

It's a communication problem that's all. It's not like not having the permit would make those people any more of a criminal. The way I see it let them improve the system to make sure felons don't get the permits.

How about this, instead of the ccw being a free pass from NCIC, just make it a free pass from the pistol purchase permit.

The problem is not with the concealed carry program. The problem is a communications issue between agencies. In fact, it seems that Sheriff Cathey's county doesn't share information with itself.

So in that county an arrest is just as good as a conviction huh? They must save a lot of money not having to worry about judges, lawyers, or trials.
