I have a few of the basic models from the "top tier" 1911's. No I don't have a Brown...yet, but what do you guys think of these models?

Very nice!

Would you be so kind as to rate them in order of your preferences, and what attributes contributed to your decision?

I'd probably rate them in that order too, but that CQB is one awesome shooting and very well made pistol. I only have experience with 2 other CQB's and that one is far superior to the others that I've shot. Maybe it's just a "good" one.

Got a SA Pro on order, but for now, all I have from the SACS is my TRP that's had a facelift. Been really wanting a Brown. Just haven't made up my mind on which one I want to get yet.

I've carried them all. The Baer and Nighthawk the most. I usually CC a Glock of some sort about 75-80% of the time though. When I CC a 1911, I really like a CCO or Commander size.

Out of those specific pistols, I probably agree. The Baer and Wilson are a wash, in my opinion.

I like the SF Commander alot. Also like the EE because of the checkering. Cody(38 Super) has pretty much the exact Ed Brown gun I would want if I ever buy one. The one he recently picked up is pretty much spec'd out the way I would spec one.

Agreed.....the Stainless No Names came out exceptional. Some of the most impressive pistols I have seen come from Alex. He really hit those three SS NN's out of the part. That specific Nighthawk Predator II is an awesome shooter with an exceptional trigger, that is why I put it at #2. The CQB is sweet and the Baer is a great pistol, just not as refined as the other 3. They are all excellent pistols. I really miss that Predator II....
