picked up 13 specter 5 gallon cans for the low price of free 99. Also got 2 packs of replacement viton gaskets and a fuel nozzel.

yes, I mean the scepter cans.
They were free, free 99 is just a play on how everything has to cost X.99 these days in stead of just adding the cent and making it a round number.

FINALLY got a pound of 68% calcium hypochlorite. Found it at the 6th store I checked, that carries pool supplies. Grand total of $4.30. Back of the envelope calculation indicates this could allow me to purify water for my family for 9 years (at 1 gal each per day).
I give this the "most benefit for the least expense" award. Someone kick me hard for not buying this earlier. Also accepting wedgies.

I took my Brazillions I've earned from an IPO and moved to SINGAPORE.

rotated the couple gascans i had filled into my truck and reflled 30 gallons. didnt realise i was down to 10. also refilled my spare propane tank for the grill and added another. also bought a new grill with a side burner so it will be easier to cook with a pot if my electric stove is out.

Ordered a MSR portable water filter. Started to purchase dehydrated meals one at a time anytime I visit and purchase something at my local Scheels.

Do you use CamelCamelCamel? It'll tell you when things are at a low price on Amazon. The MSR has been attractively low for a few days (and has really high reviews) so I jumped.

On January 1st I started a diet. At 6'3" with short legs I am all torso making it easy for me to carry some extra weight but I hit my mental limit at 257 pounds and today weighed in at 232 pounds for the 25 pound loss!
I feel much better even though I never felt bad before and I think that I look better too (my wife tells me this). I got stuck at 15 pounds and joined weight watchers and I have been going to meeting for a while and they put me back on track with some education and tracking tools. I am going for 195 pounds so I have 37 more to go. My cardiologist tells me that this will give ANYONE about 10 more years of life! He told me that 15 years ago...

I used to think Weight Watchers was a waste until my wife joined. It really works. Congrats on the loss. Keep it up.
Ordered a Rocket stove and it shipped today. I've been wanting one for a while and finally pulled the trigger.
