Picked up a vintage 1965 US MIL issue M-1950 Coleman Gasoline burning stove.
Pretty cool unit. It will live in the truck.

taught the wife how to use the pressure canner and opened a whole can of worms i'm not sure i wanted, but it is for the best. we put up 60 pints of chicken, beef, and venison. wife got into it and has been trying all kinds of different spices and such. i was pretty boring with plain meats when i did my last batch but this is much more tasty i'm sure.
manwich with ground venison, honey curry chicken, ranch chicken, bbq chicken, beef taco meat, hot dogs, canned pot roast, rosemary garlic chicken and beef, lemon pepper chicken, and im sure i missed one. these are on top of the plain shredded chicken breast and hamburger i did to teach her.
i also picked up a 10' jon boat so i can get out a bit more this year.
i am looking for a bike to start riding to work. i live about 3 miles from there.
will be putting some cinder blocks in the back yard to make a riased bed. really wanting to get more into gardening as thats my weakness so far. no green thumb here.

I looked up at the stars, thumbed my nose at the Mayan Gods, and dared them to screw with my planet.
Then I made an offering of mystery meat & Pop Tarts to the Holy Mud Shark, the one true destroyer of doomed worlds.

New solar-powered, electric analog compass/chronometer, with luminous indicators and environmental rating well beyond the level of IP67 standards.
(Actually, it's just a 300m eco-drive dive watch; but it's my birthday this week and a local jeweler owed me money... )
Doesn't take much to make me happy anymore.

Browsed REI for clearance winter clothing. Picked up one of their primaloft jackets (revcloud) for $50. Been wanting a jacket of that type for awhile. Almost wish it was still winter here so I could wear it. Will probably keep it in my vehicle starting this fall.

Shhh... don't tell anyone. Some people think we're all airsoft-playing adolescents on these boards.
And fwiw, it's amazing how one's perspective shifts. Used to be, I hated the idea of getting old. Now it's just the opposite - now I hate the idea of NOT getting old.

Got some good winter boots on clearance (60% off and free shipping). Going to the dentist in a few days to get some cavities taken care of
Made a deal to get a new toy that goes bang for a cheap price.
backed up my computer to an on-line service...mainly for family pictures but also have lots of survival stuff on this computer that I would hate to lose if/when it dies
continuing to workout regularly...prepping for pool season

Reached a personal fitness/weight-loss goal. Basically, 18 lbs lost from the first of the year to now, while at the same time slightly cranking up my weightlifting; not a lot more weightlifting but some.

Got another 7 gal. water container.
I checked the size of the pants in my BOB. I've lost more weight so I have to replace them with a smaller size. I buy them at walmart and keep the tags on them so I can just exchange them.
Hurricane season is fast approching so I need to get a weather radio and a pair of boots.

I was looking at this:
Not good?
The thing I like about this one is that I can set it to not go off for Amber or Silver alerts. I don't need to be woken up for those.

It's a local guy here in the seattle area. I don't think he'd mind if I share his info. He's a one man shop, so it does take a while to get the order. Global Arms and Ammunition 206-271-9942 www.ammunition.pro
What you'll be blown away by is his price. $285 per 1000 for both tracer and SS109

Do you IWB? If so use the larger size for that.. It's better than what I have to do.. buy a size larger to IWB, rather than being able to say.. "oh look, there is room for Glock in there now"
