Stainless Remington
I have a subscription to Guns & Ammo magazine. The current cover has a sweet looking stainless Remington 1911 on it...
Everyone here knows I conveyed to a Beretta 92 fanatic. But, I keep seeing that cover and that stainless 1911 is growing on me...
When I finally see one in person, who knows if I'll want it or not. But, it is growing on me.
Granted, I previously had an Ed Brown and a SACS, so I'll have to also see what I think of the fit and finish of this lower end 1911. But, it sure looks sweet on the cover..

We knew that you would be back. Just a little sooner than I expected.

Well, it doesn't have a beavertail grip either.. I don't know if I will be interested once I hold it. But visually, the gun is sweet...
But, After I hold it, I may still not be able to overcome my Berettaitus - hahahaha

Just fondled it at Publix. It does look nice on that cover.

A stainless R1 sounds good.Wonder if they have a Commander size in the works yet.

Went to a gun show today. No stainless models, but a regular one. Just can't dig the feel of the grip.
The only 1911 that I dug was a Kimber, believe it or not... A stainless model with a checkered frame and rubber grip panels. Liked the feel of the grip safety too. But, alas, I am on a 1911 hiatus for now

It won't be long until you are back. Have you looked at a DW?

Yea, I have seen them before. With the price increases, I feel like if I wanted to spend that much money, I'd look higher up the food chain.
If I buy one again, I would spend less than $1k. I may want one again, but it's not my fav platform. I'm not spending $2k-$3k or more again

What's the difference between the SS R1 and a SS Mil-Spec?
