That's pretty damn cool.
Was it Jerry Ahern or some other gun dudes who was quite a proponent of Detonics and wrote all those men's adventure books with the main character running around with a pair of Detonics?

Jerry Ahern featured the Detonics CombatMaster in several of his novels. As the Detonics company changed ownership over the years, Jerry and some investors actually bought the company at one point.
You may also remember the TV show MIAMI VICE if you are old enough. Sonny Crockett, the lead in the show (played by Don Johnson) carried a couple CombatMasters in some episodes.

Very nice score. How many rounds does the mag hold? Speaking of which, I'd imagine extra mags are hard to come by?

7 rounds in 38 Super.
The MK VI guns were made up until 1986 and were produced in 4 different calibers. 9mm, 38 Super, 45 ACP and 451 Detonics Magnum. The 45 ACP magazines are fairly available. 9mm and 38 Super magazines are very rare and can sell for $75 to $100 each.

When I was younger I used to read the series called the Able Team, they used detonics and from that time I just had to have one. I eventually obtained one and it makes me remember how I could not wait to finish the page just to turn to the next.
