Dan Wesson ECO
Has anyone seen the new DW ECO ?
I have been looking for a new 1911 for cc. This one looks promising to me, but I would rather have it in ss.

Just checked out the spec's on the website. The ACR I wanted to get this year may have to wait. I really want to get one of these. I love the CCO as a carry platform. The only thing holding me back from the DW CCO was the scalloped frontstap/MSH, I prefer checkering. This look's like a winner.

That thing makes my pants tight. Probably more expensive than new suspension in my dirt bike though.

Quack, does anyone make a true lightweight CCO in 9mm. I would love to find one.

Agreed, I have one and love it but wish it was lighter.

Well, street price will be lower I'm sure. Also between the duty coat, custom details, 15,000 round count spring and fitting, the price is well worth it. I have two DW's. My CBOB was almost a steal at 900 when I purchased it before the price went up and my CCO is absolutely the best pistol I've owned for carry since I started carrying concealed in 1998. (lots of different pistols).

I wish DW would make their CCO in 9mm and with a checkered front strap.

I'd have probably preferred checkering to the front strap on my CCO, but it's still a great pistol. DW makes some very tight slides with zero barrel link play and tight firing pin retainers with no clocking on the extractor. I own several and they're great. I liked the a lot more before the price increase, however.

What would the biggest differences be between the ECO 9 and an EMP?

Price. Plus, ECO has a checkered front strap, single side safety, a rounded butt and a better finish. All features I prefer. And would be willing to pay more for.

Also, non EMP specific parts. Way better for swapping out parts.

I wish they had better specs on the ECO web page.
I guess the butt of the ECO is rounded. I don't know anyone that prefers a square butt over a round one....
I think the dual safety would be an advantage in a CCW or BUG gun.
