45 cal spread

loading some 45 cal 230g xtp rounds. Looked in three different recipe books and the swing on the powder is way out there. Using up a bottle of Bullseye. Can anyone that has used it give me a ideal of what there load was?

Your gun isn't my gun, so my load may not be your load.
ACP or LC?
Start with the lowest starting load from your sources and work up. I generally go up in 4 or 5 steps to just under max.
Assuming .45 ACP:
Bullet Weight Powder Weight Velocity Note P.F. COL
FMJ 230 Bullseye 3.6 600 Start 138
FMJ 230 Bullseye 3.8 662 Start 152

Speer TMJ-RN 230 Bullseye 5.7 840 Max 193

As you can see, different combinations of components and long or short COL will affect the max load. This data includes the PF.
If you are going into action pistol, you will need to chrony your loads.
If you are going for accuracy, try 4.0-5.0gn.
I wouldn't start over 4.0gn and I would try to load for a COL of 1.230-1.260".
