Ruger GP100 Barrel Length Velocity Differences

I did some chronographing of a GP100 4.2" and 3" with different types of ammo. The results are interesting. Just that one inch of barrel length makes a difference when shooting magnum loads. Lighter, faster bullets will have more velocity gain in the longer barrel.

Very nice chart... well done
Unfortunately, with all the advances in medical science, there still just isnt any cure for "stupid".

THanks for doing the work, I have a 3" Gp100 and find that very interesting.

Pretty comprehensive, you put a lot of rounds down range and provided some useful info. Don
