It been a long time since that conversion was popular, S&W where the only double actions pistols at that time, early 1970's

What's a realistic value for a gun like that? Is that a fair price?

I don't know about the price now, it depends how bad they want it, the gun was probably at that time in the low $200.00s but the conversion was twice that or more..

conversions done by Mr Seecamp can get pricey- I'd bet starting price on this should be in the 1k range at least
