MINI 14 Question

I too am a fan of the Mini 14 and have a stainless model I've had since the very late 1980s. I know your PD uses these, and I was curious what add-ons/ or accessories you guys have found worthwhile. I am NOT a fan of a carbine all decked out tacticool maximum,and I seem to recall several pics in some of your articles over the years which showed your brother officers with their stainless minis pretty much stock...I would like a white light mount, but w/o rails, I thought I'd see what y'all have had good service with.
Over the years, I've found my mini with Ruger mags to be much more reliable than most ARs I've seen. Thanks for all you do. Been a big fan for years.
