I'm currently setting up a new G17G4 for GSSF stock, etc., and will be ordering the Dawson FO front sight along with their fully adjustible rear (black).

I'll be strictly using the 147gr "Constanza" reload w/N320, and would like some feedback on which particular height front sight would be in the ball park when ordering.

Since I have "older" eyes, I'm thinking of getting the .105" wide front sight. Just not sure what "height" to order as there are several available. I realize DP with swap them at no charge, but I'd prefer to be as close as possible on my initial order.

I have a couple of these. G17 and 20. Always just ordered whatever the "standard" height was. With the adjustable rear for windage and elevation I doubt you'll have any trouble.

I run the .105 x .300t and have had no issues sighting in my G34 w/ 115gr or 147gr, G22 w/ 165/180 or my G30.

Sure appreciate the feedback! I may be overthinking this, but DP lists the stock height as .160; yet they have heights from .160 all the way up to .500 in differing increments.

Probably would help if I call DP and see what they recommend.

I think if you look at the data for the adjustable rear they recommend either the .285 or .300 tall front. I went with the .300.

Went ahead and ordered the .105 x .300 setup.
