after buying mainly european milsurp, I find it odd America didn't put cleaning rods in their rifles

given usually they are not long enough to clean the barrel anyways, but still

IIRC, up until the Garand, pull through cleaning kits are stored in the butt along with the oiler.

It would be nice, but it's not really necessary for me anyway. The rifle is dead center for me. They knew how to put them together back then...
