Colt 'Mustang' 380?
Just looking, since I have a pretty good tax refund coming I may just break my restraint & buy a new gun. I know it's a little on the marginal side for some uses but any feed back on the reintroduced Colt 'Mustang' in 380? I already have the Ruger LCP & thought it may need a partner.
I was thinking of adding to my ultralight carry selection. If the price is to high maybe I'll just get an H&K p2000sk LEM in 9mm to go with my 40. I didn't see a Colt forum. I was thinking maybe the Colt 380 would be listed for the 380 +p & would be on the durable side. No I'm not looking to stop any bear charges with it.

No experience with the new Mustang but my LGS was charging $300 more for it then what they charge for the P238. I looked it over and it seems the only thing they changed was the way they make the pistols and supposedly the material itself. Same tiny sights, same hump feedramp that Sig moved away from early on and the same high price. IMHO, I'd just look at a P238 with better options if you want a small 1911ish pocket pistol.

I have the P238 in equinox and the old Mustang.
With the new one being released, if I was going to buy that style, I would choose the P238.
I like Colt guns, but for the lower price you get the same gun basically.

Go for the Sig version, unless you just gotta have Colt.

I love how some members will comment as in this case that the Sig P238 is the same gun, is $300 cheaper, and its much better than the new Colt Mustang Pocketlite when some of them never fired the new Colt, let alone seen one in person. Well, I have both and the Sig has gone back twice and I cannot trust the gun for s**t. My new Colt has just under 900 failure free rounds not even a burp. It is priced similar to the P238 and if it was $100 - $200 dollars more it would still be worth it. The Colt is considerably more accurate, the trigger is much better, and it has been much more reliable than my P238. I have let quite a few LE & civilian friends shoot my Colt, even a few of them own the P238 and all of them have said that my Colt is the softest shooting .380 they have ever shot and they all remarked how easy it was to shoot and were amazed by its accuracy. One more thing, " it's not the same gun".

I'm just not a fan of the P238. I can't seem to embrace any of the new Sigs built in Exeter.

Well my P238 has been 100% reliable over right around 1k rounds also, is more accurate than I am, has a great trigger, and has night sights on top of it. So yes, IMO, the Sig is better for cheaper.
Maybe I just got the best P238 ever made, and you got the best Mustang. Who knows.
