Maybe people won't answer you because it's spelled "Kahr".
Just kidding.
Kahr's website just says
"CM40
CM4043 (3.1" Barrel)
Black polymer frame, matte stainless slide
MSRP: $517.00
Shipping Soon!"

I can't help but imagine how much snap and felt recoil the CM40 will have. Of course, I use a KLCR sometimes, and that has a ton of felt recoil.

You could always try asking Kahr directly.

Last I heard it was early/mid 2012. Wondering if I should wait on a CM9 until I hear what the CM40 is like.
A couple years ago, I changed my primary CCW from a G26 to a G27 for a bit more oomph. I've been happy with that decision so far.
My hope is that a CM9/CM40 would take the place of my LCP when the G27 is a bit big for what I'm wearing.

I have a CM9. It's snappy, but comfortable enough. I would be very hesitant to buy a CM40 without shooting it myself. I've shot .40SW for years and I'm not recoil sensitive, but still.
I will say that I personally find it just a tad too big for comfortable pocket carry. I know a lot of people disagree with me on that, and it DOES fit in the front pocket of most pants. To me, though, it feels like carrying a brick around and it bangs into my leg and bulges horribly when seated. The LCP/TCP/P380 size is TONS more comfortable, even though the numbers say they're only slightly smaller. See if you can talk a store into letting you move around a bit with a CM9 in your front pocket before making the purchase in case you agree with me.

If you want a Kahr 40? Go Stainless, go MK40!
I rented a P40, P9 and K40 before buying my first Kahr.
I found the P40 to have too much recoil to enjoy shooting.
I shot one mag out of it and finished the box with the K40.
The P9 was fine to shoot. As was the all stainless steel K40.
I ended up buying an MK40 Elite 03 Micro.
It's a great gun.
Reliable, accurate and surprisingly shoot-able with full power 40s.
Although the ~25 oz is small enough for pocket carry, it's a bit heavy for that.
And rides much better on a belt.
I would not want a CM40.
It's going to be too light IMHO.
A CM9, with Speer GDHP 9mm 124 gr +P,
is about as good as it's going to get for a pocket auto loader.
Just my thoughts on the subject

Thanks everyone. I've carried the pm 9 in my front pocket and I thought it was small and light . The cm 40 would be my CCW so not worried about recoil that much....

I have an MK40 Elite03 and it is a very well made gun but it weighs a ton. The PM40 is definitly a better choice for pocket carry. I find myself leaving the MK in the safe because it weighs just as much as a loaded G27. I just carry a bigger gun if I'm going to have to have one that heavy.
