a cold day, some new 1911 parts & some used....
....a few hours in the shop and viola, a 'new' 1911! Now off to see how she shoots.

I cheated a bit on the Made in USA routine with the slide and a few current Springfield Armory parts.

Around $600
-Essex frame
-7790314 hard slide
-EGW hammer/sear/disconnector
-Colt controls/bushing
-SA barrel/MSH (used)
-Hogue alloy grips
I the ejector needs a bit of tuning and she is shooting a bit to the left but other than that she is good2go! The GI sights gave me 'minute of chest' at 21' Danced the oil can out to 70 feet or so.
This one is getting a Caspian light rail and will take nightstand/road trip duty.

thanks, simple is good. Things will be better after some ejector tuning as the brass hits me in the nose!
