10-22 mods
Well while at a local dicks sporting goods Yesterday I noticed they had two 10-22 carbines... Listed for 219.99. Well I had a flyer from academy for 197.99 for the same model, and guess what!!! I know own 2 Ruger 10-22s. I've wanted to scratch that tricked out 10-22 itch, I figured that I could do one for the wife (basic "pink" stock and scope) and one for me, I'm somewhat familiar with them and the plethora of stock options an kits. The particular one I'm interested in is a archangel Marauder kit. After showing them, My boss and his buddy now want to buy a marauder kit, so that means we would be buying three kits. Ive found them for $155.99 and i know it shoots fine as-is, but its a cheap thrill. Does anyone have any good/bad experiences with this kit or company?? I appreciate your input. Have a good one!!!

I have this kit for my 10/22. Really solid built. Great detaiingl, looks authentic.
For some reason, the kit I had ordered, it came without the top rail nor iron sights. Instead of returning it to Cheaper Than Dirt (which has horrible CS, and I wont ever buy from again), I called Promag, and they shipped me the missing parts, without questions.
Have only ran 2 mags thru her, and I love it.

If you have trouble finding the 25-round kit, you can buy the 10-round kit and convert it.

Sweet, I'm thinking I'm gonna order it tomorrow, heck my wife even likes it. She asked if she could get it in pink... Just weird to me that I've seen some kits that come with flash Hiders and some that come with a fake suppressor, any idea on that?? I like the way it looks, should stand out in a crowd of ar-style 10-22s,That's what I like about it.

The kit will have both for you to choose. I happen to like the fake can. Not because it looks "cool," but because I just don't like the look of the stock barrel with the cage...looks weird by being too long for the G36.
And I just don't see the point of getting a bull barrel for the kit. Nor throw money into an SBR it. To me, it's a budgeted plinker.
Will be building a target 10/22 down the road. That's where the money will go into.

There are some pretty nice looking pink laminate stocks out there if your wife likes that look. Here's one I recently built for my wife...she loves it.

You can glean a good bit of info from the "Official Archangel Marauder/G36" thread here:
* Warning - It's 39 pages, so I'd start at the end and work back.

Cliff notes:
1) new mag w/ metal studs are better than old mag w/ plastic studs.
2) might need to do some minor dremel for a no-gap fitment on the top and lower. No issue with mine. Only on reported few.

Well we will see, I order two today along with a couple poly buffers. Should have them by Monday. Had a hard time finding two stocks at the same place, ended up with eBay. Midway USA had 30 in stock but at $25 more then where I got mine. Guess I will shoot it this weekend before I tear it down to do the kit... Lol

Good deal. They're starting to be scarce, again.

Very true, I was smart enough to call first to make sure they were in stock before I bought... Sure enough most places that said they had 2+ didn't have a single one in stock, and back order is around 4 weeks wait. I can't wait to get mine!
