New Member/New Owner in CA
at least i hope to be an owner soon.
i purchased a glock 36 online and this will be my first customized and tuned pistol (for everyday carry) it was supposed to ship friday to the local FFL and then 10 MORE DAYS!!
it was ordered with a stainless guide rod, mag & slide extensions, tritium sights and the fulcrum trigger kit.
look forward to learning from the people here and finding new friends with the same interests.

I also had no need for NV, so I went with the 512. As far as the submersion, if I'm 10 feet under water and still holding onto my rifle, something has gone terribly awry and I don't think an extra 23 feet is going to matter to me. YMMV

hey Tim, I'm going to be one of the 99% that carries in defiance of the kalifornia politburo.
So, am looking at multiple options.
1. Maxpedition or 5.11 bag (what I call "close by carry")
2. Small of the back IWB would be my preference.
After that I don't know enough to choose.
Like some, over the years; I've lost my sculpted figure (if I ever had one) and buy slacks & jeans a size over. Concerned that an extra 24 oz in any position may send them straight to my ankles (and just can't pull off that gangbanger look)

So your plan is to carry illegally? After living in San Diego for 5 years I dont know any of the legal gun owners i knew who carried concealed.
small of back is actually a very bad choice in carry as it can hurt your spine in the event of a fall or accident.
