I have a bedroom floorplan layout whereas master bedroom doorway faces my kids rooms (think of a fan shape). This puts my kids rooms right in the line of fire if a perpatrator entered the space.
There was a home invasion last week a few miles away from me where the homeowner shot and killed the badguy while his kids were in the next room sleeping.

I need a better solution (for my fingertip gun box just below our bed). I need something to mess somebody up that wont penetrate drywall fast enough to kill my kids on the other side of the wall. Something my wife could use without numerous hours of range time. Was thinking about a shotshell revolver like the new SMITH AND WESSON "GOVERNOR":

At first was thinking about the new winchester pdx1 .410 ammo:

what think ye?
