I got out with the Earhart and solo wings. Good memories.

CAP helped me grow into a man...
...by exposing me to cool military *****, alcohol, and loose women.
It was a blast. I have many, many great memories from high school thanks to CAP.

The one thing I developed very quickly: toilet radar. I have a list in my head of every available restroom in my area and then some.

From what I've learned in the Boston bombing threads, you must always have a warrant. For anything.

That, and the list of places that can be used as a toilet...
One night, out of the corner of my eye I caught the outline of a squad car between a business and nearby shed. Bright lights in the lot for the business, on the street, etc, created excellent cover in the shadows. It was an officer from another agency using one of his favorite spots...still can't believe how well hidden it was in plain sight.

Back in the day, we used to call the sig 110, "Sam Brown drop". It meant hold all for at least 2 minutes. Lost an inseam or two trying to keep it on schedule. Never fails, always a 911 or a 10-50 accident, when mounting up: 10-8, rolling sig 10.(lights and siren) Carried spares in roll out bag.
Note: Winter time was dark blue long johns so not much to see.

Yeah, got as far as cadet squadron commander and Lt.Col. Then I decided to ignore the Spaatz when I got my AFROTC scholarship. Should have come home long enough to test...

Before we changed over to BDU's, we used the polyester blend "dickie work pants" type of uniform pants. They hand some kind of lining that was black fabric, so at least when you blew out the crotch climbing over a fence or something you didn't give everyone an eyeful. It was commonly known at the time as the "pinocha negra".

I may, or may not, know of someone that had to cut the tuck-flap off the back of his vest after a mad dash to a crapper.
