What else?

I have a rather small collection of guns, but feel that they cover most of my needs (Except for a Shotgun, getting a Rem. 870 soon). Just curious what you all think I should add as a must have gun.

Here is what I have and the use they fill for me:

Glock 23 (Range/HD/CCW)
S&W 686 Pre-lock W/ 4 inch barrel (Range/Woods)
Ruger SP101 (CCW/ HD for wife)
Marlin 30/30 (Hunting/Woods)
Ruger 10/22 (Hunting/Plinking)

I really want your opinions, please add where they fill a gap in what I already have.

An AR or an AK would be top of the list IMO

An accurate .308(semi auto or bolt gun) with good optics would be next

A .22 handgun can provide an afternoon of fun and possibly some skills enhancement for twenty dollars in ammunition expense.

I have been looking at some .22 handguns. Kind of like the Browning.

Those 2, plus an LCP or other lightweight real small gun for ankle.

Thought about the AR, but it just is not for me.

I really want a .308 though.

This is your biggest hole.

If you add a couple more perhaps an AR or Ak. Throw in a bolt action chambered in something like .270 that'll reach out further than your .30-30. And maybe a varmint bolt action in the .17-.22 caliber chambering of your choosing and you're set.

A Marlin 1894c .357 would go nicely with those .357 revolvers.

The AR10, is something I have not considered. How is the accuracy, say out to 500 yards?

A quality AR-10 with good optics and ammo will easily take you to 1000 yards

Get a Mini 14 then. Every able bodied responsible male US citizen should have a military type rifle(Mini 14 does what a AR15 does).

In a SHTF situation a centerfire semi auto rifle is a MUST.

If your dead set on a .308 take a look at the M1a.

.223 will do the job on two legged animals out to 500 yards. Ask a veteran and they will tell you.

I use the SP101 as a bug / deep concealment gun. I had traded the SP101 for a LCR .38, but recently traded the guy back. I just did not care for the light weight gun.

A decent pocket gun, was my line of thinking as well.
