Well, we have the phones. It looks like I will be typing with a stylus. Dry hands are hard to type with, LoL.

Prayers for your grandfather. I know lung troubles aren't pleasant. Been there and done that with strep infection of the lungs when I was a kid. It probably helped contribute to the later development of asthma for me.

@Molina: keep getting better, and I'll keep you in prayer as well.
Thanks. I'm going to drop in and see him tomorrow after my dad and I go to a gun show.

Find a concrete slab foundation if you can. Forget the basement. Those things are overrated and become death traps when zombies come. Get one with a good attic and fortify it as your hold out with food/water and weapons and another access point to effect egress when needed.

If I didn't live in tornado country, I might just do that, lol. As it is, I plan on getting a place with at least 5-10 acres, so I have defensive depth, and a clear field of fire in all directions from fortified positions within the residence.

Make sure you have a safe room and also gun nests at every window. That brave Mexican farmer fought the cartels to the death by running and gunning from every window. Great story of a man and his courage against overwhelming odds. If he was a soldier, he would have received a Medal of Honor for that one.

Hmmm... I'll look for it, but it was a pretty widely spread story about how a cartel was telling the Mexican farmer to get out because they wanted his farm and he said no way.

They came back at night with 2 truckloads of gunmen and he fought them all night until the next morning when they found his dead body but not without taking quite a few cartel bastards with him.

Sounds like one hell of a fight, and a guy that could have my back any day of the week.

That's not the best nor full account. I am sure if you google his name, you will find some that has way more detail about the gunfight and how he went from window to window, firing off loaded weapons in turn so that the cartel thought they were facing a whole team of men inside.

3rd infusion set. The life of a cyborg continues.

@ CJ and Lawman800: Quite the story on the Don. May he rest in peace.

@Horror: what is the medication?

Well our girl is now eighteen as of yesterday. It may be time to look at my ammo inventory.

Had a good birthday celebration. Cinzettis was a required restaurant according to the daughter: http://www.cinzzettis.com/kansas/

Then we got a Carvelle ice cream cake for her birthday.

She got a multitude of presents, and although her smart phone was not considered a present, it sort of added to the over all good things category.

All in all it hasn't been too bad of a week for her.

Sounds good, Hack!

So how many rock-salt loads do you have loaded for the 12 gauge now?
