Even if at some point we will all need health care, if I am wealthy enough to pay my own health care bill without insurance, why should I be forced by law to buy health insurance? Really, if I was Bill Gates or Warren Buffet, why should I shell out money every month for a product that don't need. Health insurance is there to help offset the "unexpected" costs that may arise. If I am able and willing to bear those costs, then I should not be forced into the health insurance market. The law infringes on my freedom to pay my own way. While many Americans are not that wealthy, our government cannot infringe upon the liberty of one group to provide a benefit to another group. One person's need does not create a responsibility on my part to spend my money in the free market.
