I carry a CW-9 in a comp-tac holster here in Alabama which is quite humid and haven't had any rust issues.

I walk on the beach with my P9 on (a lot). I am usually never more than a mile from the ocean , most of that within yards. I can lose 5 pounds in a day sweating outside in South Florida and the Keys. If I'm awake my P9 is too. I am probably going to get some flak for this but I use a can of PC keyboard duster on it once a week to blow it out and maybe break it down to check lubrication once every month or so(closer to quarterly). Militec 1 is some amazing stuff internally. I have never had an issue with rust , dirt, or performance. It is as slick 2 months after a full breakdown as it was when I cycled it after putting it back together. The trick might be horsehide. My crossbreed horsehide seems to act as a block from my sweaty self, it doesn't seem to soak up much at all . I have never had any condensation form on the gun unless I get caught out in the rain walking the dogs, then it just plain gets wet. ( I break it down after something like that ) ... My 2C.

Some peoples sweat will eat through 1/2" steel.

Me? I've never had any Kahr rust problems.

I've had two Kahr rust issues:

1) PM9 had a very rusted mag release. Surprise to me when I took it apart.

2) P9 developed a few light spots of rust on the very front of the slide, on the top left near the sight. The P9 is only about a year old. I am in Texas where it is hot and sweaty, but I carry the P9 in a water proof holster.
