SCOTUS meets Chicago style politics

I cannot fathom the degree to which this thug will sink to in trying to tear apart this country.
I must conclude that the only reason why President Obama would so egregiously lie is to send a message to the Court that if it displeases him, he will appeal to the segments of the American public utterly ignorant of the Constitution and not really paying close attention to the news. And he will in effect tell them that the Court isn't really legitimate. This is a Chicago-style "if they bring a knife, you bring a gun" threat.
“The fact is that the average man’s love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary, exactly like his love of sense, justice and truth. He is not actually happy when free; he is uncomfortable, a bit alarmed, and intolerably lonely.” ~ H. L. Mencken

Hey, we should consider it a blessing that Obama doesn't have disavowable assets threaten the SCOTUS Justices' families. That would have been real "Chicago-styled politics".

Appealing to the American public, every POTUS does to some degree. With the way this piece of legislation shows in every credible poll though, Obama is trying to pull water from a dry well on this one.

compared to a certain democratic senator charging that TSCOTUS have no army, the POTUS's words are mild.
