870 tactical acessories

Can you guys help me out... Im looking for a cheap tactical sling maybe a better sight and some type of side saddle. I dont see how some of these side saddle's mount to the 870 reciever. Mine does not have any screws on the left side of the reciever, it looks like 2 push pins ???

With the TacStar sidesaddle, the mounting screws replace the pins in your receiver. Be aware that this side saddle may interfere with the action of the slide if you have a larger sport forend. That was the case with mine so I've ordered the smaller Hogue forend. You could also cut the forend to fit but I decided to go with the smaller one.

What is your idea of a cheap tactical sling? The most cost effective sling that I would recommend is the Boonie Packer slings. I would also highly recommend slings from Gear Sector, the VCAS, and Wilderness tactical.

What sights are you running now? And what type of sights are you looking now?

As to the sidesaddle, your main options are going to be Tacstar, Mesa Tactical, 3 Gun Gear, and Vang's Dsac. I have used them all except the Vang's Dsac. I prefer the 3GG over the Tacstar and Mesa.

What are you looking for in a sight? What type of sight is currently on the 870? If it is a bead XS Sight Systems has a sight that epoxies on over the bead.

See them here...

If you have an 870 Express with a front bead, do not try to remove the bead as it is staked in. However, I have two 870 barrels where a friend with a mill took out the bead and milled the sight base to a flat surface and then drilled and tapped the barrel. I used a Marbles Tritium bead seen here...

Plenty of other options exist, but in general a front bead works best for most situations and is what I prefer.

Sight - xs bead
Sling - whatever you like blue force 1 pt or vtac 2 pt
Side saddle - Velcro shotgun cards from SKD tac

Sent from my iPhone... which probably auto-corrected something wrong
