Former officer passed.

One of my friends, who was only 40 years old has passed. He was a police officer for many years in a near by town. He got mixed up in alcohol and lost his job. Last Friday, he committed suicide. I didn't realize how bad his problems were and neither did his family.

He was a really good man and always tried his best. I don't know where he went wrong or why he ended up going down the road he did. He had a family that loved him. He was getting his life back together.

He became a STNA and was working at a local nursing home. I wish things could have been different for him. I'm sorry for posting this here and I normally don't post stuff like this but this one got to me. I just felt the need to get this off my chest.

We will miss you John.

(Thanks everyone.)

Some times the world just weighs on people more than they can take. Unfortunately cops seem to have this happen with some regularity.

Prayers to his family and friends. Hopefully you'll never be able to understand the hows or the whys of suicide. If you begin to, get help before it seem like a good idea.

Whatever demons were pushing and pulling him, I hope his god lets him find peace.
