40SW marked slides

When did Glock start or stop marking the 40's with SW? I have a G22 with a "BFR" prefix in my sights, and a G23 West Palm Police marked G23 on my radar too.

I've only ever seen the gen 2's with the "40 SW" marking. Not sure if part or all of the gen 2's have it.

My dad and I both have Gen 2 Glock 23s- his is an earlier May 1995 mfg (BLG-prefix) with ".40SW" marked on the slide and mine is a later Gen 2 (April 1997/CFG-prefix) which simply has ".40"

So somewhere around 1995-96 they stopped marking them with the SW suffix. Similar to the .357 Glocks around 1998 (went from ".357 SIG" to ".357")
