And all of theother guns with polygonal rifling that nobody ever seems to have a problem with. I guess if they sold as many Baby Desert Eagles as they do Glocks, someone would start a hysteria about them and sell barrels to stop the carnage.

Does dean speir get a royalty on ever aftermarket Glcok barrel sold?

We never seem to see much of those posters after they pop in on this thread either, go figure. I think I speak for the group as a whole when I say I look forward to many years of your posts on various aspects of reloading.
I don't sing too good, have no acquaintance with JR and like my Glock barrel just fine....and I don't have a lot of years left.

Had plenty to say about 450 posts ago, but bit my tongue.

Then I lost it. Please forgive me.

Whisky is eluding to the fact that all the new posters (here) are indeed incited to respond to this thread by the all powerful JR. Somehow I have contacted my minions (you low posting slaves) and called upon them (you) to rise to my defense.

A baseless illusion at best! Had I requested such a thing the server would blow up! I assure you these guys simply stumbled upon the link or were led here by others posting in other threads to try and discredit me or LWD. As I clearly said before, LWD has 10's of thousands satisfied customers and the bad mouth 5 that live here are definitely the minority. Either way, I have listened and now offer a chamber reamer that will put this BS debate to rest. The GT Hole covers all the lead reloads that will fit in these other guns (except Blue, he is special. Maybe I need one more try at his?)

Instead of dropping them at Goodwill, Jack just gives his clothes to Docta.

We are supposed to be taken seriously here? I guess I didn't get the memo.

I actually think JR is trying to do the right thing with his offer for the free GT hole to allow most of the buyers of his barrels to shot lead reloads. Which was one of the main reasons people bought his barrels.

It's taken a lot time and fuss for him to get to that point and it sounds like he had to overcome the momentum of his personality. The front desk people at that shop also seemed to be afflicted by this malady. The people in the back shop where the work is done appear to be great guys trying to solve a problem.

What would be interesting to see would be if the GT hole barrels are any less accurate than LWD "normal" barrels. My guess, and it is a guess, is if done on a Ransom rest there would be little if any difference but JR would have the gear to conduct such a test. If the results are not different a good move might be to have all barrels handle the lead reloads or in other words have the GT hole.

Sorry Blue, I am confused by your statement #475? It has been the contention of the haters 5 wanting their reloads to run in all their guns. What does accuracy have to do with it now?

There are only 2 reasons to reload. (1) save money. (2) improve accuracy.

Number one is not necessarily true if you factor in the cost of the equipment however the more you shoot the cheaper it gets therefore saving money. No argument here.

Number two accuracy: The only reason reloaders have an edge over factory rounds in this department is because the reloaded ammo can be built to the dimensions of a particular gun ie: bullet weight & profile, velocity related to powder burn rate, OAL of cartridge. Build the round to fit perfectly thereby producing the best accuracy.

When a reload is intended for use in several different guns you take away the number 2 reason (accuracy) completely. You automatically accept the fact that your load performance will vary in each gun. With this in mind.... who cares how the GT Hole performs? I can tell you right away, it will be better than some, even with others and sucking hind tit with a few. No different than any other load (factory or reload) in any other batch of guns.

There are a lot more then two reasons to reload.

Manufactures don't make the load you want.
You want a reduced power load
You want a extra power load
Your in control of the QC. Not some factory spitting out millions of rounds of ammo.
You enjoy it.

Just to name a few more.

Sorry Colorado. I didn't FULLY spell out the #2 accuracy statement.
(2) improve accuracy, performance, yada, yada, yada. Improve anything & everything except your (my) looks right?
I seriously took it for granted the statement would be understood. There is no real discussion past #1 & #2. They are all encompassing

Your just not a reloader at heart. So it's just not part of you. even if you have done it you really don't understand us. Of course you will figure out a way to say your right and I am wrong. It's what you do.
