Ahh, how typical, point out the CCW story and neglect to post something about the following article regarding police misconduct... specifically the officers lied to a dog thief and needed to work on their people skills...

At first I was thinking someone went to Nigeria with a CCW badge.

I love the doggie sting- That's awesome! "You need to work on your people skills." OMG, I would have spit my coffee right there.

I know that making fun of CCW badges makes for great sport here, but if a Cop arrived at a shooting and saw a badge, any badge, would that provide enough hesitation on their part to keep someone from getting shot by the Police?

That'd be an interesting question for the cop talk forum.

My guess is, if you are doing something that is threatening with a gun in hand when they roll up, you're going to have a bad end to your day, no matter what you're displaying.

I would be curious to hear their response, though.

Conventional wisdom is if you're involved in a shooting, your best defense is to make sure your gun is holstered when the police show up.
