G27 has unusual wear marks inside slide

Has anyone seen this on their Glock? I have 3 and have only seen this on my G27. I shoot mostly LWD 40S&W barrel and the 9mm conversion. The marks are not bad in that I can't feel much wear, but it is slightly rough. Am wondering if there may be a safety issue. Here's a pic. Thanks for any info!

The wear I see in the picture looks like slide peening, which is normal with most Glocks. I have a Gen3 G23 and a Gen3 G27 and they both have slide peening. Almost every .40 Glock has slide peening. It'll wear to a certain point then stop. It's caused by the frame flexing during recoil, and the front corners of the locking block jump up and rub into the slide in those spots.

Here's another picture of slide peening posted by Butch:

The only concern to have with slide peening is that over time metal from the slide may bulge slightly inward toward where the barrel sits, and it may need to be filed down so that it doesn't dig into the barrel or obstruct the movement of the slide past the barrel. It's very rare for that to happen though.
