ISSC M22 5.5"? School Me
Anyone own the 5.5" compensated model?
I'm considering using one in a first-time-shooter training class.
Apart from picky ammo issues, advise me about them.
Balanced or nose heavy?
I'm all ears.
(I've yet to find a youtube vid with someone actually firing one.)

I have a 4" ISSC.
neat little gun, but I'd recommend getting the long barrel version, for reliability/ammo-sensitivity reason.
I will post a review on the ISSC soon.

Update
LGS sold me a "new" M22 with 2 mag's for $300 OTD.
Could not get it to cycle to save my life.
Cleaned it, polished the ramp (polished with a felt Dremel tip), lubed it, shot the best .22LR ammo's.
Nothing worked.
LGS took it back and said they were returning it for repair.
They called today and said they had a new M22 for me.
It only had one mag.
BUT, after three mag's of various failures, it began to run and cycled about 70 rounds trouble free.
This might work after all.

what was the serial # prefix of the problem gun?
My AAF prefix 4" seems to work fine with hot HV ammo, hates remington though.

ISSC Target Model
I have the ISSC M22 (prefix CCB) with the 5.5" (including chamber) ported barrel.
Mostly my only dislike for training purposes is the "negative muzzle flip". I have to bring the front sight UP on target, as the porting shoves it DOWN on recoil.
Recently, though, have had an issue with FTE after buying a couple new magazines. So I dumped 100 CCI MiniMags into a plastic jar with an oily rag to try to loosen up whatever friction was in the gun.
When I fired them, I had several FTEs, and some VERY WEAK ignitions: the shot went "PFFFT!" and smoke came out of the chamber and nothing cycled. I ended up doing 3 quick field strips to check the barrel for squibs, but the barrel was clean each time.
Was a bit mystified, but on thinking about my answer to you, wondered if maybe THIS problem was brought about by oil seeping into the powder from the neck of the bullet.
I had previously attributed the FTEs to new, stiff magazines, like I'd had at first when getting the gun new. With the original mag, that problem was corrected with use.

Can't find where I wrote it down, but when I called their service center they did identify it as an early model.
Now I need an extra mag since the new one only came with one mag.
