I ride ATV's in done VERY rural/wilderness areas. Mostly in northern Maine. My thinking is this will make for a good "trail gun". Won't blow up a grouse, but enough for larger game with careful shots.

The weight and capacity make is very desirable.

I'll carry it, but likely only under those conditions.

I like the caliber. I know it's paper ballistics don't do it justice. But in a semi and being rimfire and not as relyable ignition source I won't carry for daily personal defense against two legged vermin.

Ok ya got me, $1200 with tax & ammo. But still way too much for a paper puncher. I'm too cheap to buy a nice AR at that price, let alone a plinker.

Couldn't get over the overly "toy" gun feel. I have shot and handled allot of Kel-Tecs and never really could understand such a cheap feeling firearm.

(I did search and only see a couple threads, one of a dissatisfied soul/ uninformed...)

About 6mo later, a friend and I where in another shop and they had three.... again we had them in hand and decided to walk away, but it was a tougher decision.
Later still after the barrel problems where fixed again I had one in my hand and almost took possession, but did not and walked away.

Then last fall I was at the range and another friend was there with his PMR. I got to shoot it and was hooked allover again! Its a very good shooter, to compare it to a glock is a insult to the glock. Its more like a plastic water pistol with a steel barrel...

SO I now have deposits in again and have been waiting for my "turn". I got a call last week and all depositors before me are gone... I am next up! Should have the guns by the end of May. There is 4 of us buying them together. Its going to be a ATV/STHF kinda gun. But its light, great trigger and shoots where you aim it. With 30 rounds on tap and a underestimated 22Mag caliber... I just GOTTA have one!

I'm looking for comments, suggestions and experience from anyone owning or shooting one. What did you do, what are you gonna do with yours how do you like it?

I know it will fit a 19/17 22/23 holster ans prefers CCI ammo. I already have a couple extra mags, a shooting condom (Hogue handall) and 10 boxes of new Hornady and 10 more CCI HP ammo ready to go. I will likely also add a tiny, under frame laser for "kicks".

Thanks guys,
CW
I had issues with mine at first but after sending it back to kel Tec, it works flawlessly. I have had many conversations with different factory people and they have been great. They even owned up to the issues, fixed them and followed up with me to ensure the gun was performing properly.

I'm a member of a number of local clubs. Capitol city in Rocky hill, Bell City in Southington and metropolitan shooters in Manchester. But I have shot a number of to of times down in your area with NRA sectionals in Bridgeport and up in Manchester at the Nike site.

During the winter months I shoot all over CT with the Mertopolitan league. Mostly central/northern CT.

The PMR 30 looks like a seriously fun gun, I love the .22mag. Have thought about buying one numerous times--just never committed yet.
