Glock 19 Gen 2

Been looking for one for a while and happened to stop by local gun store on a whim, they had a Glock 19 gen 2 LE trade in for $375. added some fiber optic sites for $50 just might make it my CCW. Attachment 244821Its got some holster wear and some frame nicks but nothing major. Cant wait to shoot it this weekend.

I like the Gen 2 pistols. The grip can be a little smooth compared to the later models, but at least no MIM parts and they work flawlessly. Enjoy.

Congrats. I recently scored a gen2 as well. Got some TFO's on order. Let us know how she shoots.

Congrats! A Gen 2 19 at that price is a great deal IMO. Enjoy it

It came with the NY1 trigger spring, have dry fired it and will probably change that out but minus a few scratches on the frame in good shape. I think it might replace my G26 for carry.

I have a 19 gen 2, I am the original owner. Someone told me these were collectable, and I was offered $600 for it by a gunsmith. Is this a good offer? It is my everyday carry so I'm not looking to get rid of it, just wondering what it might be worth. Other than a set of night sights, its completely unmolestered. I have the original Tupperware, etc.

I love mine, they are hard to find in great condition because no one gets rid of them. Its value is dependent upon the demand of a collector. I got mine for $375 no box but with night sights and one mag. I would have paid no more than $425, yes you get get a new one for NONLEO for 525.00 plus tax gen 4. But the Gen 2's to me feel better without the finger grooves as this also makes them wantable and with no rail they seen to slide in and out of holsters easier. So $600 is a very good price. But it seems you are on the fence because you are like me in that Glocks hold value due to there reliability and being durable and that you can trust you life as this is your CCW

I don't have a G19 Gen2 but do have the G23 Gen2, I would have to say it is one of my favorites. I'm picking up a G17 G2 Friday.

Traded into one of these a few years back . Fell in love with it and its been my edc ever since .

The Glock serial # history thread dates this one in May of 88 , close to the birth of the 19s :0).

Austrian proofed frame & slide and is in great shape mechanically . Slide has great character with the worn finish ...

I replaced a chipped extractor and spring loaded bearing at 81,000 rounds. All except the RSA is still original.

I just replaced all springs (had extra set laying around) and put in ghost 3.5 connector. Like new to me.

I have a very old Gen 2 G19. I shot it so much it had to be rebuilt by Glock twice. I guess I now have a crummy MIM filled G19..

I have had my G19 Gen2 since the 90's when I bought it new. It has been a great carry gun an shoots very well. I am in the process of upgrading the Gen 2 magazines to the Gen 4 variety. The two Gen 2 mags I have, have swollen over time and I will just replace them. I did change out the sights to night sights and polished the trigger assembly/connector. It is still one of my best pistols.

I remembered a thread for people looking for a G19/gen2.

There's someone selling one for $350, and states it's in 'excellent' condition (seems like it from the pictures). BUT, slide's been refinished (no biggie), frame's been replaced (?), and the person wants a FTF in South Florida (might be a big deal for someone outside the area). Seems like a good deal, though I'm no expert. Here's the ad, posted today:
