I have a stainless Colt 1911 Series 80, that I ordered from the factory in I think, 1987.

The serial # is my SSN. Kind of a long story, but it is cool...guess I can never sell it...

I've never seen a 000, I'd like to have one. I'm still waiting for XXX prefix.

Will they produce XXX, I some how thought that they started AAAA already.

They're getting to XXX, and yes, AAAA was already started from the US made Glocks out of Smyrna, GA. The G42's getting most of the American made serials since it's the gun most produced in the states by Glock.

Serial Numbers: The S&W revolver with serial number RPR0001 is interesting. For many years I have owned S&W Model 640 Centennial serial number CEN0001.
