Mag Loading Tool for Ruger MK2-3?
I'd like to buy a simple thumb-saver tool to help with loading mags for my Ruger MKIII. Also, I want one for a MKII, as I'd like to buy one for my Dad's pistol too. Perhaps the same tool would work with both.
I have something made for my Makarov, a flat piece of oval shaped plastic with the center cut out, that fits/slides perfectly over the Mak's mag, simple and effective. Something along these lines is what I'd like.

I second the ClipLoader. I bought one recently for my Ruger and Buckmark.
I'll never be without one again. I wish they were made for other calibers and guns.

I third the cliploader. Keep it clean and it will function perfectly everytime. I also got a t-style mag loader from Rimfire sports. Works great when I dont use the cliploader. I see than Rimfire sells them for $10 a pair, but you can sometimes find them cheaper at other rimfire parts websites. Attachment 187755

How could you need an extra tool? It has the little thumb stud to drop rounds in with ease. Easiest mags I ever loaded.

Loading individual cartridges into a Mark II or III mag by hand, using only the button method, is comparable to filling up your gas tank one tablespoon at a time.  You really gotta watch the video.
The Ultimate Clip Loader is that cool. I don't work for them, I just dig their product.

Butler Creek makes (made?) something similar; I have several that stay in my range bags. Shipping on these little items can be a killer (although Brownell's has a "Small Item Shipping Rate"), so I'd recommend checking any well-stocked local gun or sporting goods stores first (assuming you haven't). If you ever go to gun shows, I've seen them there, too, dirt cheap. One guy had a small fishbowl full of them. 
If you're handy (or even if you're not), it wouldn't be too hard to make something similar. Get a hunk of plastic, take some measurements off your mags, drill two holes an appropriate distance apart, and remove the plastic in between with a razor knife. Round the edges for comfort, and you're good-to-go. Before the commercial ones were offered for sale, I used a metal mounting plate for a vehicle rocker switch that I dug out a junk drawer. Worked fine.

If you get one, make sure to shoot a little dry lube into the loader. It makes it work really well. I believe it even recommends the dry lube in the instructions.

Get the Ultimate Cliploader.
I bought a Mark II about four months ago and love shooting it, but the sore thumb makes it a chore.
Once I bought the UC the sore thumbs were a thing of the past. I can shoot an entire 550 round box of ammo in less than two hours, taking my time at that.
