That depends on the person carrying it. I carried it my front pocket for a week before getting my Raven holster. It worked great, just as good as it did for my CM9.

I'm 6'4" though and I usually avoid small pocketed designer jeans.

Yup, I've used 147gr'ers. It's a bit snappy, but by no means is it uncomfortable. You should be able to shoot this gun all day long.

Good video as always. I'm just not sure it's the right gun for me. When I carry IWB I'm comfortable carrying a larger frame size guns (G29, HK45c, HK USP 357 sig compact). But if I carry something smaller, I prefer pocket carry. My pocket carry is currently the CM9.

If I'm going to carry a small single stack 9mm, I just prefer it to fit in a front pocket. It looks like the shield is only slightly smaller the M&P 9c which is definitely not a pocket gun. I'm very interested in getting a feel for the new M&P trigger though, since the old one sucks bad

I love my Glock's but I think Glock is missing the boat by not having a single stack 9. The G26 is superb but comparatively speaking, it's fat by comparison. With the popularity of CCW, the M&P Shield, the Ruger LC9 and the Kahr PM9 and CM9 is taking CCW marketshare. It seems like Glock should have done a little better market research and they're missing the boat in this growing single stack CCW market.

I enjoyed the review! You said it will probably replace your CM9 for belt carry, but which would you recommend for someone planning on pocket carrying? Obviously the extra cartridge capacity with flush mag is a bonus... But is the extra grip length worth it?

Also, I very much appreciated the way you showed how to use the thumb safety. I have only seen people use their support hand to deactivate it, or just not use it (neither of which I like) What you showed was very helpful.
