Gonna run the new GC NN CCO in the morning
Found a local range (working on the road), to give the new Guncrafter No Name CCO a workout. I'll be taking the Wilson ULCc along to do some comparison shooting. Since I'm the original owner of the ULCc, I know it's a shooting machine, so the main brunt of my shooting will be done with the GC CCO. Picked a few hundred rounds of Independance 230gr FMJ's to use for the maiden voyage. Not my first choice for range ammo, but I've used it before and it'll be just fine. Wally World was out of the 250 round boxes of UMC 230gr FMJ, so I went with the other. I'll post target pics and a range report tomorrow.

Tom was shooting the Wilson. I was shooting the No Name. He thought he did a pretty good job. He talks about himself in 3rd person. That's just how Tom is. You'd just have to know him I guess.

The Wilson weighs less. They are both as good a CC 1911 as it gets. Other than the weight, they are the same. I prefer, for CC, the Wilson, due to it's weight and the smaller "carry" controls. You can't go wrong with either one.

Very tough call. The CCO has thin grips, which I prefer. The ULCc has thin bushings, but I just haven't put thin grips on yet. The Wilson Carry controls definately have a completely different feel than regular sized controls. They feel really good IMO. The 15LPI checkering on the GC is done so well, that you really have to feel it for yourself before you can really make a good call on it. It feels GREAT. Alex makes it very grippy, while making it dull enough to not make it "sharp/pointy/sharp". They both have top notch triggers. The biggest difference, other than the Carry controls, is the weight. The aluminum frame on the Wilson makes it lighter for a better CC gun, IMO, but yet doesn't make it have any more felt recoil than the steel framed CCO. See, I told you it was a tough call.

No bobtail available on an Officer frame. Rounded butt, as shown, is as close as you can get. You want a Bobtail? You have to go with a full size frame.

I'm not sure anyone offers a bobtail with a smaller frame.

[QUOTE=glock2740;19181280]This is the round butt Alex is putting on the No Name CCO. Round enough for me.
Very nice! Guess I'm looking at my next No Name then.
Thought I had seen a bobtail on a NH commander model, I stand corrected
