Businessman Says He Lost Hundreds of Customers After Attacks by Obama

Playing hardball.............
Quote:
Businessman Frank Vandersloot, the CEO of Melaleuca, has been targeted by the Obama campaign after donating money to Mitt Romney's presidential campaign. "Three weeks ago, an Obama campaign website, 'Keeping GOP Honest,' took the extraordinary step of publicly naming and assailing eight private citizens backing Mr. Romney," Kim Strassel of the Wall Street Journal reported. "Titled 'Behind the curtain: a brief history of Romney's donors,' the post accused the eight of being 'wealthy individuals with less-than-reputable records.' Mr. VanderSloot was one of the eight, smeared particularly as being 'litigious, combative and a bitter foe of the gay rights movement.'"

The attacks are working. Vandersloot revealed in an interview on Fox News that his business practice is being hurt by the attacks from the Obama team.

If you're popularity is sagging, just shut down your competition. The Democrat way.

Yep, but according to some, our country will be better off if Obama elected over Romney.

Obama learned that tactic in his community organizing days with Bill Ayers.

Straight from the south side of Chicago mobsters playbook.

And according to some GTPI posters, there isn't any difference between the two men or parties.

If they can't back up what they said I hope that he, well his lawyers, take them to the cleaners. It's public record when you donate to a candidate so they would be within their rights to publish that information. The other things however may or may not be a part of the public record so if they aren't I hope that he goes after them.

Wait, I thought it was good to target a business based on the politics of its owners/management. You know, the whole "vote with your wallet" thing. Isn't that why we shouldn't use eBay or Paypal or the countless other businesses targeted here because of political views held by their principals?

Now because Obama's website is more effective than GTPI at having people follow through, GTPI is crying foul?

Obama's website? It seems logical to assume that it carries the weight and force of the entire government behind it. That's where it crosses the line. It's not a group of concerned seniors boycotting Walgreens because they have racy photos on poster ads in the store. It's the government targeting a private citizen because he contributed to a competing candidate.

Not if it's a campaign site it doesn't.

This website is a part of the "truth squad" program which casts doubts upon it in my mind. http://www.keepinggophonest.com/

This is outrageous. How could he go against the COTUS, and do such a thing.

Oh wait, the COTUS don't cover this. So I guess it is ok.

Sarcasm off.

How is this any different to what the GOP does? I have seen several threads about boycotting this or that because they support something we disagree with.
